Irwin Zeplowitz studied at the University of Toronto and at Hebrew Union College, as well at the Jewish Institute of Religion in Jerusalem. Having served congregations in the Chicago area for five years, he is currently Rabbi at Temple Anshe Sholom in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada’s oldest Reform congregation. Rabbi Zeplowitz is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of the Central Conference of American Rabbis. He is on the steering committees of ARZA-Canada, a Reform Zionist organization and of the National Social Action Committee of the Canadian Council for Reform Judaism. He is also a member of the Clinical Ethics Committee of the Hamilton Civic Hospitals. His primary area of research is bio-medical ethics.
